Excavations no. 20

The "Excavations" series allows me to expand and evolve my abstract work into various directions and fuse elements of figurative and abstract together enlarging my image-making vocabulary in the process. My work is driven by many things including the nature of the materials I work with which also contribute to the creative energy during the process. I confront forms and lines and try to create visual space with colors that has no real beginning or end. It is an illusion but we seem to feel familiar with some elements, even if we can't explain them literraly.
