Excavations vortex no. 01

The "Excavations" series allows me to expand and evolve my abstract work into various directions and fuse elements of figurative and abstract together enlarging my image making vocabulary in the process. My work is driven by many things including the nature of the materials I work with which also contribute to the creative energy during the process. This work is part of the group that I'm making while in my studio in Florida and the colors and forms are a response to the environment that I'm in.
